Adnan Rehmat's foray into journalism began with a letter to the editor of a newspaper in Sri Lanka (aiming to correct statistics in an article about Pakistan) when he was 11. A formal career in journalism began in 1990. His experience spans working for various Pakistani newspapers and wire agencies (managing and founding some). Since 1998 he has been authoring an annual report on the state of Pakistani media – what are the trends shaping it, where it's headed and how it's all changing Pakistan . Through some organizations he helped found, and others that he guides, he's working to develop a stronger legal and professional environment for journalists in Pakistan , particularly in the burgeoning private broadcast sector. He is also a prolific writer for a string of Pakistani and foreign publications. His other affairs include books, music, movies and travel. |

Aurangzaib Khan is passionate about developing North West Frontier Province , Balochistan, the Tribal Areas along the border with Afghanistan , and Kashmir – regions of Pakistan where traditionally the message has been controlled. With a career in journalism dating back to 1993, he has worked with a string of international and national organizations to develop media in these regions. He is in particular involved in improving journalism educational standards in NWFP by working with mass communication departments of universities and training journalism students, improving news capacity in tribal areas by training journalists from the region and improving information access in Kashmir by helping emergency broadcast stations to improve their disaster and humanitarian reporting standards. His other passions include photography, studying cultures, reading and writing literature and music. |

Umer Farooq

Umer Farooq has a Master Degree major in Finance & Accounts. He is responsible for all accounting, financial, general and strategic operations. In his position, He is involved in all aspects of the financial, accounts and budget related activities from the big decisions to the little. It takes work to learn to balance so many responsibilities and meet the needs of so many, but is well worth it.
His first three positions were in Airline industry. He then went to Assistant Manager Finance position with a Dutch Airline. Within 2 years, revenues had grown 150%. He then found job in Internews as Finance & Accounts Officer and promoted to MFA position. His experience with growth and knowledge of his field made him a great fit for the position. Pray and faith have guided him each step of the way. |

Eersa Sami Ahuja

Eersa Sami Ahuja has been associated with the development sector in Pakistan since 2000. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work from Punjab University, Lahore, and her expertise spans the disciplines of communications, advocacy, research and program development and management. Her areas of interest are human security, gender and media & communications. She has a deep interest in both the health and communications sectors and is currently engaged in improving the coverage of health issues in the pluralistic and rapidly evolving media and communications sector in Pakistan, particularly in some of the remotest districts of the country. She is a frequent contributor of research papers and participant on the national and international conference circuit. Before joining Internews Network, the international media development organization (operational in over 30 countries, including Pakistan), she worked for national and international organizations in advocacy and research including Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Heinrich Böll Foundation (Pakistan and Afghanistan office), South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) and Applied Socio Economic Resource Centre /Institute of Women Studies (ASR). She nurtures an abiding passion for literature and is currently working on her debut work of fiction. |

Umair has been in the financial sector since 2002 after graduating in Commerce from University of the Punjab, Lahore . He started his career as Accounts Officer in a European Airline K L M, Islamabd. During that his stay there he completed professional course of Airline Financial Management and also completed the 1 year Diploma in Information Technology (D.I.T) from NETZONE Institute Rawalpindi.
Umair is also very active in the community with the LSHS (Land Sons Helping Society, Hafizabad) and appreciates the individuality and uniqueness of every person in the society. He is an industrious and intelligent worker. He counts his colleagues as his best resource. |

Ghawas started his career as Finance Executive with TOYOTA Islamabad-Capital Motros, ASN Autos Network & Asst. Manager Finance with SUZUKI Rawalpindi Motors. His early professional experiments also included serving as News Monitor for PBC, Headquarters, Islamabad in 2000. His expertise and fields of interest include managing & implementing Budgets and taxation issues like General Sales Tax Return/Income Tax Return, Employee Tax, PESSI, & E.O.B.I. He achieved ‘BEST EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2005' for his success in achieving goals & tasks assigned by the management of SUZUKI RAWALPINDI.
He attended training courses at NBP Rawalpindi, PBC Islamabad & PAK SUZUKI MOTOR CO. Ltd Karachi . He joined Internews Pakistan as Accounts & Finance Officer in February 2006. Ghawas holds a Masters' degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance & Accounts from Preston University Islamabad. |

He also having expertise in Studio equipment installation, Audio Production, Studio management, Computers troubleshooting, Network Administration and installations. He has Master Degree in Electronics from University of Peshawar. |

Nabeela Aslam

Nabeela started her career as a full-fledged reporter for a national daily and covered areas including health, human rights, bonded labor, HIV/AIDS, environment and particularly concerning to women's rights and health. Received extensive trainings on gender, health and media. She was the first one among journalists who received diploma in Electronic Journalism from Stockholm University , Sweden . After working six years for mainstream media organization, she took responsibility of a specialized health magazine. Working for this magazine, provided ample time and opportunity for research work and sharpened her journalistic skills from public health perspective. Later on, she also worked for a consumer magazine and scanned issues in the light of international trade agreements affecting consumers and also identified emerging consumption patterns. Through this alternative publication looked into the issues concerning to poverty, governance, devolution of power and rights specifically. In 2004, she changed her medium and opted for working for electronic (radio) medium. Currently, working as a broadcast journalist for Meri Awaz Suno, she has been traveling extensively and voicing the concerns of rural population, specifically women and children, and rediscovering the strengths of radio as a powerful and interactive tool. |
