Internews assistance is aimed at improving the standard of news reporting, bolstering media freedom, increasing the availability of information to the public, improving the quality of university-based journalism programs so that graduates are capable of meeting industry demands, raising the profile of women in media and improving the \media law environment through legal counseling of broadcasters and increasing dialogue between policymakers and local media.
