FICTION: Writing a book for Peer Saeen

By Amar Jaleel

My grandfather summoned me for an exclusive sitting and said, “Peer Saeen desires to write a book.” “Then why doesn't he write?” I exclaimed. “Well!” My grandpa thought for a while and said, “He doesn't have time.” “He doesn't have time!” I wondered, and said, “But he wants to write a book!” “Exactly,” grandpa looked straight into my eyes. “On what subject,” I asked. “Physics, chemistry, or history”. “Don't jump to conclusions, my grandkid,” grandpa said. “I haven't finished yet.” “I am so sorry grandpa,” I hugged him. He kissed me on my forehead, and remarked, “You are incorrigible, but somehow I love you. You are my sweetest grandchild.”
