Development budget and the right to information by Mukhtar Ahmed Ali & Zahid Abdullah
“Unfortunately, this year again, parliamentarians have shown little interest in exercising their right to information, which is quite evident in the way the budget session has been conducted and the way the budget has been passed without any qualitative debate. Therefore, it is all the more important that the civil society remains vigilant right from the beginning of the financial year in order to ensure that the allocated amounts for development are actually spent this time around.”
