  Risks journalists face
  REPORTS released by four international media organisations on the state of journalists in 2006 make for depressing reading. All of them cited the year as one of the bloodiest in terms of the kind and level of danger journalists were exposed to while on the job. The International Federation of Journalists reported that 155 media personnel were murdered or attacked or disappeared mysteriously.

  Wild Rose wins 1st prize
  Wild Rose a 20 minute documentary produced by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on the Armed Forces of Pakistan has won first prize at the 17th International Film Festival held in Rome. According to ISPR, 27 countries participated in contest.

  Irfan Siddique’s mother dies
  The mother of Irfan Siddique a renowned Columnist who died on Friday was laid to rest in Harley Street graveyard Rawalpindi. Eminent personalities attended the funeral prayers.
