Editorial: Save the National Art Gallery |
| |
To be sure, Mr Naeem Tahir, the handpicked head of the Pakistan National Council of Arts, is an honourable man. Wasn’t he, like Mr Shaukat Aziz and Dr Naseem Ashraf, plucked from the bosom of the USA by no less than President General Pervez Musharraf and dragged to Pakistan to shore up his vision of “enlightened moderation” in Pakistan? But what on earth is Mr Tahir up to?

New version of ‘Daughter of the East’ hits stands |
| |
After a 20-year wait, self-exiled prime minister Benazir Bhutto has chosen ?Simon & Schuster" -- the publisher of General Musharraf's autobiography -- to publish the revised version of "Daughter of The East: A New and Updated Autobiography" in the hope of getting similar publicity at the international level as in the case of "In the Line of Fire".
