Journalists protest attack on press club
Local journalists Thursday held a demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club to mark their indignation against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League leaders for attacking and ransacking the press club last week. The protest was held in connection with the countrywide protest call of the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ).

Media uplift top priority: Durrani
Emphasising the present government attaches high priority to the development of both print and electronic media in the country, Information and Broadcasting Minister Muhammad Ali Durrani feels the approval by President Gen Pervez Musharraf for the establishment of Media University would surely help journalists build their professional capacity – a must to elevate the standard of journalism in the country.

PEMRA achieves revenue target
The Pakistan Electronic Media Regularity Authority's (PEMRA) regional office has achieved it revenue target for the year 2005-6. This was told to a meeting of the Council of Complaints of PEMRA with LCCI President Mian Shafqat Ali in the chair.

FM LISTENING: City 89 vs football freak No 1
