Newsman deprived of car, valuables
SUKKUR: Two people, including the reporter of a Sindhi daily, were kidnapped from Thull late on Thursday night. Ashfaq Khoso, reporter of a Sindhi daily, along with his friend Mumtaz Khoso, was on way to Kandhkot from Jacobabad in a car (K-8587) when he a group of armed dacoits intercepted them near Thull and kidnapped them at gunpoint.

Compensation for murdered tribal reporter's family
Lt General Hamid Farooq, the Peshawar Corps Commander, on Friday announced compensation to the sons of Nasir Afridi, a tribal journalist of Dara Adam Khel who was murdered by some unidentified men a few months ago.

FM channels, unlike television channels, are not accessible outside the realms of their local boundaries. Whereas one can watch one's favourite TV show any where within Pakistan. I wanted to give an idea to my readers that if they were travelling or they moved to another city, which FM channel they would be able to access. Hence, following is a list of nationwide FM channels, the company that owns them and the area where it can be received in.

The art of grabbing media attention

Some legislators have mastered the art of generating news, and then become lead actors of the same. They pounce on every other opportunity generated in the political arena with all the zeal but with a primary aim to grab attention of the media — the best of the communicators to the political fraternity and more importantly voters out there. One of political clergy's “lead roles” in the present assembly, witty and shrewd Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, tops them all in the present Parliament. He has mastered this art to near perfection.
