Ministers to face media quarterly
President Okays Media University : Says media enjoying full freedom: Durrani says awards for journalists on the cards
Regular interactions between federal ministries and media have been planned from July 1, 2006 — each minister would meet the press and highlight the performance of his ministry on a quarterly basis, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz informed President Gen Pervez Musharraf at the Army House, Rawalpindi on Friday.

Media asked to provide Nishtar Park blast films
The tribunal probing the Nishtar Park blast asked the electronic and print media again on Friday to cooperate with the inquiry and furnish any film or photographs of the April 11 congregation at the park shot before, during or after the explosion.

Safma delegation
KARACHI: A 35-member delegation from India comprising top businessmen, captains of industry and trade corporations, political leaders, leading academics, eminent journalists, showbiz personalities and people from other walks of life would be paying a five-day visit to Karachi under Karachi-Mumbai Exchange Programme initiated by South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA) from June 10 to June 14.

PTV is still at the top'
“Although Pakistan Television (PTV) is facing a tough time to meet the present day requirements, it is still one of the widely watched TV channels having an access to the rural areas of Pakistan ,” said Tariq Saeed, the general manager of PTV while talking to The Post here Thursday. “I agree that there are a number of channels which are now being watched by masses in their homes. But PTV is still one of the strongest channels. We people at PTV will keep on entertaining Pakistanis,” he added.
