Peshawar Press Club elections; fist list of candidates notified |

Election Committee of Peshawar Press Club met yesterday. Chairman election
Committee, Shahid Hameed headed the meeting. The committee notified the
first list of candidates to be participating in press club election.
According to first list 14 candidates submitted nomination papers for the
seat of President, 9 candidates would contest for vice president, 9 for
general secretary. 10 candidates submit nomination papers for joint secrtary
while 10 papers were submitted to contest on finance secretary seat..

Benazir condoles photojournalist's death |
| |
Former prime minister and Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians (PPPP)
Chairperson Benazir Bhutto and her husband Asif Ali Zardari have condoled
the death of Rashida Afghan who passed away recently. In her condolence
message, Benazir said "Rashida Afghan was among the first women who had the
courage to enter into the difficult profession of photojournalism. She
served it well for long becoming also member of the Pakistan Association of
Press Photographers and would be remembered as among the women pioneers in
her field."
