Nijji TV channels ki perayshanian (Worries of Private TV Channels) |
| |
The Express columnist Raees Fatima analyzes the current scene of electronic media. “If PBA wants to attract local viewers, it should leave copying Indian channels. Focus should be on originality. Merit in programs should strictly be followed. But one feels sorry that private channels are completely unaware about merit.”

Radio
FM Listening | Truth or dare – fact or fiction |
| |
Once having listened to an FM channel for about an hour or so, one would notice that most obviously one of the priorities of FM radio channels is to promote various music industries. A huge variety of music including Pakistani, western, and Indian songs are played. There is of course no doubt that this diversity in music is quiet advantageous for listeners as it broadens their music sense and breaks monotony, however, one would notice that all these different types of music are not played in an equal ratio. In fact these channels have created separate position in the market by giving more preference to particular types of music. For example, City FM 89 is famous for playing more western music, 106.2 Hum FM is known for Indian music and FM 101 for its Pakistani music and so on. |
