Sindh govt asked to clarify position on missing journalist
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has called on authorities in Sindh to clarify immediately whether they are holding a journalist, Mehruddin Mari, who has been missing since July 2. The CPJ has confirmed that police had detained Mari. Police have declined to comment on the case.

Wage award issue to be resolved soon'
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Durrani has said the issue of the seventh wage board award for journalists and newspaper employees will be resolved soon. He was replying to a question at a dinner he hosted for editors and senior journalists here on Friday.

13th PTV Awards ceremony to be held today
Renowned classical and semi classical singer of the Sub-continent, Mehdi Hasan will be given Life-time Achievement Award in the mega event of the 13th PTV Awards to be held here Saturday. This was announced by Managing Director, Pakistan Television (PTV), Ashraf Azeem while addressing a press conference to brief newsmen about the main features of the awards ceremony which is being organised after a gap of three years.

FM LISTENING: Stars on air: Irfanul Haq
Irfanul Haq is a well-known DJ on FM 100 Pakistan. I had heard him many times, hosting different shows at different timings. I remember once when I heard him doing a road show and reporting live on air. I liked his style of narrating the happenings to the listeners. Since then, I tried to approach him to partake in some lively professional discussion and to explore the hidden aspects of his life and personality.
