RSF seeks explanation on tribal reporter's disappearance

Reporters Sans Frontiers (RSF) has called on the Pakistani government to explain the disappearance of Hayatullah Khan, journalist on the Urdu-language daily Ausaf and the European Press Photo Agency (EPA), who was kidnapped on December 5, 2005, in Mir Ali, North Waziristan Agency.

JI FM radio attracts listeners in Dir, Malakand Agency

The FM radio that Hafiz Rehmat Gul, an activist of JI, is running from the compound of a religious school, Darul Uloom Tahfeezul Quran, in Khadagzai village has attracted and influenced a huge number of listeners, not only in Dir (lower) but also in most upper parts of the Malakand Agency.

FM LISTENING: Presentation does matter

Every morning on my way to university, I enjoy the songs being aired on 106.2 Hum FM. They always have a soothing effect on my mind. On the other side, the commanding voice of Sohail Hashmi on City FM 89 doesn't let me tune in to some other channel. No DJ is comparable to him as far as out of the ordinary topics and quality of voice is concerned.

Journalists remember public floggings of 1978

The Pakistan Federal Union journalists (PFUJ) and the All Pakistan newspapers Confederation (APNEC) will 1 various programmes throughout the Country to remember the public flogging of journalist on May 13, 1978 by the martial law regime. According to a PFUJ release, the affiliated unions will organize programmes in Karachi , Islamabad , Lahore , Peshawar , Quetta , Faisalabad and Multan May 13.
