FM LISTENING: Doesn't western music pose a threat?

Some days earlier in one of my articles I had discussed the different policies adopted by our local and international FM channels for running their transmission. Most of the FM channels are not in a favour of playing Indian songs for they think that would promote Indian culture through FM in Pakistan . That's good reasoning. However, this is only one side of the coin.

Letter to Editor:

Only on PTV

Keeping in view its traditions, PTV has provided an ample opportunity for its viewers to switch over to other satellite channels. In stage one of the FIFA Football 2006, out of 48 matches only 23 matches are being telecast and in stage two only selected matches will be telecast. Being the national channel, PTV must broadcast all the matches of this mega event.
