No ban on Pakistani channels in India |
| |
Indian Information Minister has clarified that there is no ban on Pakistani channels in India. But transmission is not operational as channels are not registered with Indian authorities. Indian Information Minister P R Das Bunsi told that there was no truth in such news that there was ban on Pakistani channels in India. Pakistani channels have been given enough time, but they didn’t apply for registration. Indian policy was very simple as registration was necessity for foreign channels. He told that state PTV and private channels like geo, ARY and QTV were not registered in India.

FM Listening | Generation gap needs to be reduced |
| |
With the advent of private TV and radio industry in the country a tremendous change has been seen in the way people think. The things which were not shown or discussed openly on media before are now given full coverage. The advancements seen in this sector by introducing new trends and diversifying the age old culture and traditions is truly astounding. There was a time when children used to learn things from their parents but now media has become their teacher.

Frames of Reality | Cartoon Network Pakistan |
| |
Here is more to the Cartoon Network channel than meets the eye. There is actually quite a long history behind this children’s favorite. By the end of the 1980s, Ted Turner’s cable-TV acquired the MGM film library and its cable channel. Cartoon Network was created as an outlet for Turner’s considerable library of animation and the initial programming on the channel consisted exclusively of re-runs of classic Warner Bros, MGM and Hanna Barbera cartoons, which I still remember watching as a child. Most of the short cartoons were aired in half-hour or hour-long packages usually separated by character or studio. Today, only the ‘Tom and Jerry’ classic remains on the network. It is actually quite sad that children of our generation haven’t been able to watch what I would call ‘real cartoons.
