‘Maulana Radio'rules Swat airwaves
is not uncommon for popular disc jockeys to have a huge following. So there is nothing extraordinary about a large fan club of a cleric, known as Radio Maulana, who has hit the airwaves of Swat, except that his female admirers are making their husbands grow beards and abandon what the Maulana describes as ‘un-Islamic'.

Traffic police manhandles Business Recorder staffer
The traffic police in line with their traditional attitude manhandled yet another journalist here on Wednesday (16). According to the details, a reporter of Business Recorder Azhar Ali Khan went to a bank branch at M A Jinnah Road leaving his motorbike No KBS-4588 at the parking lot.

New Media Policy in final stages
Secretary Information and Broadcasting SHAHID RAFI said on Saturday (Aug 12) that preparation of new media policy was in final stages and it would be announced soon. In his address to participants of a two week capacity building course for Information Group officers at information service academy (ISA) the secretary of information & broadcasting was playing its due role for ensuring press freedom as envisaged by the constitution.
