FM-88 begins trial transmission in Dera Bugti
FM-88 Radio has begun short-duration trial transmission in Balochi language in Phelawagh tehsil of district Dera Bugti as Masoori Bugti people have resumed normal life activities at sub-tehsil Baikar.

SAFMA team leaves for Mumbai tomorrow
A 33-member delegation is leaving Karachi for Mumbai on Tuesday for a four-day visit under the South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) exchange programme. A 30-member delegation from Mumbai will also reach Karachi on June 11, says a press release.

NWFP govt to table Access to Information Bill
The NWFP government will table a bill after the budget session of the provincial assembly to improve transparency and access to public records, said Asif Iqbal Daudzai, the NWFP information minister, on Saturday. The Access to Information Bill will make the provincial government more accountable to its citizens, Daudzai said. “The draft of the bill is being prepared from the federal government's Freedom of Information Ordinance 2002, which has now become an act,” he said.

Azeem becomes PTV MD
Ashraf Azeem on Friday assumed charge as the managing director (MD) of the Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). Azeem had earlier taken charge as the acting MD of the PTV in the wake of the former MD's resignation.

Ashraf Azim has assumed charge as new managing director of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). Soon after assuming the office the new managing director announced to revive the quarterly General Managers Conference of PTV and vowed to use all his capabilities to improve the standard of PTV programmes.
