Harassment of journalists
ON the face of it, Pakistan has what President Bush described in the days preceding his March visit to the country a “lively and generally free press”. Indeed, when compared to the battering it received under the last military ruler, Gen Ziaul Haq, it can safely be said that the press under Gen Musharraf's government has to deal with far fewer restrictions than previously.

Muslims all over the world are resisting turbulent waves of hostility, enmity and severe propaganda from all sides, which has intensified resentment and unrest among them. The western media knows no bounds when it associates terrorism with Islam and links Muslims and terrorists.
