Journalist threatened
A tribal journalist received an anonymous threat over the telephone on Saturday for reporting on the situation in Khyber Agency. Mehboob Shah Afridi, general secretary of the Tribal Union of Journalists in Khyber Agency and correspondent for an Urdu daily, said on Sunday that he had received a phone call on Saturday night threatening to kill him and destroy his office if he did not stop reporting on the situation in Bara, the Khyber Agency headquarters.

Govt to start media teams exchange programme
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Muhammad Ali Durrani has said the government is planning to start regular media delegation exchange programmes with other countries to provide the journalists an opportunity to improve their professional skills.

Journalist robbed
Unidentified robbers deprived a journalist of Rs 12,000 in the Millat Park police precincts Saturday. Amir Nafees, deputy chief reporter at The Post, was going home with his wife on a motorcycle late Saturday when two robbers held them at gunpoint near Sulemania School .
