Demo against Hayat's killing : Fata alliance for end to military operation
Activists of Fata Grand Alliance Saturday staged a protest demonstration against the killing of Hayatullah Khan and condemned his gruesome murder, besides asking the government to stop military operation in Waziristan Agencies.

Sri Lankan journalist embraces Islam in detention
A Sri Lankan journalist, Robin, imprisoned in the Khyber House Peshawar lock-up, converted to Islam from Christianity on Saturday and vowed to play an active role in countering intrigues being hatched against Islam. Robin, who was renamed as Hamza after entering the fold of Islam, said: “Today I am extremely happy. It's a day of victory for me.”

More than a week after that cold-blooded murder of journalist Hayatullah Khan in Waziristan , grim thoughts about what it meant are still reverberating in the minds of media professionals. There have been angry protests by newsmen across the country and token boycott of the proceedings of federal and provincial assemblies. International media organisations have also expressed alarm over what they see as increasing hazards for journalists in Pakistan .
