The period between 1986 and 2006 is one of evolution and transformation for Pakistani society. While some view it as a period of deterioration, others regard it as one of development and growth. For Karachiites, however, the last 20 years mean a complete metamorphosis of their social and cultural life.

Dawn staffer grieved

Mother of Dawn staffer Waseem Ahmad Shah died after a brief illness on Saturday. She was buried in her native village, Pabbi, the same evening. She was 59.
