CDGL, Pemra join hands against cable operators

The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has decided to join hands with Pemra and launch a grand operation against illegal channels and vulgar movies and dramas being broadcast by cable operators. The decision was taken after a meeting of Pemra delegation with DCO Muhammad Ijaz here on Saturday in which the former sought CDGL cooperation for the operation.

HEC to finance FM radio station at AIOU

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU), Islamabad will establish a FM radio station through the financial assistance of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Foreigner held for illegal film-making

The Preedy police rounded up five persons, including a British national, on Saturday night when they were making a video for a documentary film about the slain US journalist, Daniel Pearl. Sources in the police said that a foreign national along with four persons in police uniform appeared in the thickly-populated vicinity of Saddar and started making video near the Passport Office.
