Radio sets distributed in quake-hit areas
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees has completed distribution of 10,000 multi-power radio sets in the areas affected by last year's earthquake to help keep the survivors informed on issues affecting them. The sets donated by Internews are run on dynamo, solar, battery and electric power. They feature AM, FM and shortwave bands with a flash light, thermometer, siren, storage compartment and compass.
